I’ve prepared a handout on VITAMIN C to share with my clients and visitors to the site. I hope this helps boost your understanding of this important vitamin!
Note, the RNI for Vitamin C is 80mg per day → meaning, by ingesting 80mg of Vitamin C daily, you will prevent deficiency. However, a healthy diet consisting of 8-10 servings of fruits and vegetables (aiming for more veggies than fruits) will deliver somewhere in the range of 250-400mg of Vitamin C.
Seek food sources of Vitamin C as your first option – but speak to your Naturopathic Doctor if you are interested in, or already taking, a supplement.
